Bethesda and one Starbucks I won’t vist.

I read a story today that pisses me off and makes me question common sense for some people. There is a story about a homeless Veteran that lives in Bethesda, MD. He claims to be a Veteran and whether it is true or not, what difference does it make. However, since this project revolves around all Veterans, I will expand on my thoughts with this man.

The back story is he went to Starbucks and was thrown out. Denied service and basically treated like an animal. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a nice cup of white mocha chocolate from Starbucks but not from a business that would do this to a person who is in dire straights.

The entire story can be found here.

I’d like to point out that despite the stereotype homeless person is a beggar and too lazy to seek help. That is not really the case in all cases. Some people have been pushed to the way side for years. Due to many variables whether it be legislation, lazy people in authority and a certified failed VA system, it is no wonder why we have at-least 200,000 homeless Veterans on the street. So whether they get their coffee at a Soup Kitchen, Dunkin Donuts or Starbuck, if they are willing to pay, why toss them out like trash?

This is an outrage and defies the basic human nature of compassion.
